Where were you born / Where did you grow up? I grew up on the Gold Coast until I moved to Melbourne once I graduated.
What did you love to do as a kid? Gymnastics
What did you want to be when you were growing up? A physio for Cirque du Soleil.
What is your favourite food? My husband’s lasagne.
Where is your favourite holiday destination? Maldives
Where in the world would you like to go where you haven’t been before? Canada
Tell us an interesting fact about you. I am a singer and am singing and dancing in a musical as part of Bris Fest in September.
What is your life motto? Anything is possible!
Nicola is a physiotherapist with 20 years’ experience, practising in paediatrics for the past 17 years and in the fields of rehabilitation, aquatic phyiotherapy and persistent pain. She has completed a postgraduate certificate in paediatric physiotherapy and has a Masters in Public Health and Health Management.
Nicola set up the Royal Children’s Hospital (Melbourne) new aquatic physiotherapy service in 2013 which cemented her passion for aquatics. She is a lecturer and tutor for the APA Level 1 Aquatic Physiotherapy courses and has been involved with the APA Aquatic group since 2013 representing Victoria and Queensland. Nicola will be looking after the aquatic physiotherapy caseload at Optimum Movement on Tuesdays and Thursdays fortnightly. She also works at the Queensland Children’s Hospital on the other days.
Nicola has 2 children and loves baking and cooking with them on her weekends.
