Some Fun Facts About Kate
Where were you born / Where did you grow up? I was born and raised in Brisbane.
What did you love to do as a kid? I loved being outside and playing sport – including netball, touch, soccer, AFL, dance and gymnastics. I also enjoyed doing anything with my friends and family.
What did you want to be when you were growing up? From an early age I always wanted to be a primary school teacher. As I grew older, I also became interested in child psychology and I felt that occupational therapy was the perfect combination of both professions.
What is your favourite food? My three food groups are pasta, chocolate and GYG. I am also obsessed with Diet Coke and I will not go a day without one.
Where is your favourite holiday destination? Greece! Mt grandparents are from there so it was really special to spend four weeks exploring the islands and mainland. I love the beaches and the endless yiros!
Where in the world would you like to go where you haven’t been before? London. My dream is to live and work there in the future.
Tell us an interesting fact about you. I was a competitive dancer growing up and performed at numerous eisteddfods across Queensland, at the Ekka both on stage and in flashmobs and at community events for organisations such as Bluecare and Multicap.

I am currently studying a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy at UQ. I have previously worked in hospitality and retail, and as a high school tutor and OSHC educator.
