Micaela joined Optimum Movement having worked for several years as an Occupational Therapist with the Queensland Department of Education. She brings with her an interest in diversity of cultures having spent a year working in Fiji with the Ministry of Education.
Micaela enjoys working collaboratively with all who support the child’s development and learning. She likes to work towards strategies that can be easily incorporated into the child’s everyday life, thus giving the child every opportunity to work on and participate in activities they want to, need to and are expected to do.
Micaela is committed to continuing professional development and evidence-based practice. She has completed training on the Cognitive Orientation to Daily Occupational Performance Approach (CO-OP) and Sequential Oral Sensory Approach to Feeding (SOS).
Micaela is a member of Occupational Therapy Australia.
